What's new with West Georgia RESA's TAPP and Practicum candidates?

We at West Georgia RESA are very proud of our Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy Certification Candidates.  As we visit classrooms throughout our districts, we continue to see evidence of Standards Based Classroom Instruction techniques as well as exciting classroom arrangements and activities.  It is also encouraging to see some of our candidates being used as models within their schools and districts as exemplary teachers using Georgia Performance Standards and innovative classroom strategies.  

We had the privilege of recommending candidates from last year for clear renewable certificates.   As we begin the new year, we have 11 candidates beginning this year and 6 candidates from last year who are seeking certification.    We have both one and two year candidates.

Please look back at this page periodically as we plan to post raves for current and past alternative teacher program members.  We will also include websites and resources that may be helpful to you in your educational pursuits. 

Upcoming classes of interest:

The Reading and Writing in the Content Area class will be offered again this  fall. To register for this class, CLICK HERE!   If you are teaching Special Education or Middle Grades, this is a required class for you.  This appears to be a popular class and quickly fills, so if this is a class that is required for you please register now.
