- The 2007 STAR Program information and instructions are mailed to principals, high school contacts and superintendents. The STAR Time Line and important dates are mailed to Sponsors and Region Chairs.
- December 14, 2006 - Deadline for submission of STAR Student Nomination on line
- The December 14 deadline allows the use of scores from the November 4, 2006, SAT.
- January 9, 2007 - STAR Student Declaration Notices
- and instructions regarding submission of STAR Teacher Nomination Forms on line are mailed from the PAGE STAR office to high school STAR Contacts.
- January 19, 2007 - Deadline for submission of STAR Teacher Nomination on line
- STAR Teacher Nominations must be submitted on line by January 19, 2007.
- January 29, 2007 - PAGE STAR MAILS NAMES OF WINNERS TO SPONSORS ONLY
- The PAGE STAR office mails the names of the high school winners and system winners to local sponsors only. Certificates and list of Region Recognitions are included in this mailing to sponsors.
Local sponsors contact high schools to set their local recognitions and announce STAR winners to the news media and community.
January 29 is the earliest possible date because of time necessary to verify and process nominations, select STAR Teachers, and mail the results to sponsors.
- February 5 - March 2, 2007 - Local Recognitions
- Local recognitions should be held between February 5 and March 2.
March 2 is the latest possible date to hold local recognitions because of lead time needed for region chairs to organize region recognitions.
- March 5 - March 30, 2007 - Region Recognitions
- Region recognitions should be held between March 5 and March 30.
March 30 is the last possible date to allow time for region winners to file biographical data required by the judges for the state competition.
