Metro RESA Certification Programs

Metro RESA offers two non-traditional certification programs: The Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GaTAPP) is an alternative certification program for classroom teachers. iLEAD is the alternative preparation program for educational leaders. 
 
 

GaTAPP

GaTAPP is Designed For Individuals Who:

  •       •      Wish to transition into teaching from another career path;
  •       •      Did not complete a teacher education program; and
  •       •      Have never held a clear and renewable (professional) teaching certificate

iLEAD: Alternative Preparation for Educational Leaders 

iLEAD is a non-traditional preparation program for school leaders. Systems recommend potential candidates who are working in a leadership position at least part time. iLEAD is a one year job-embedded program providing authentic work in a real time setting. Candidates who successfully complete Tier I of the iLEAD program will be recommended for a Performance Based Educational Leadership Tier I certificate.  For more information about iLead, click HERE.
