SUBSTITUTE TEACHER TRAINING
To
work as a substitute teacher in a school district, candidates will need
to register to attend the Substitute Teacher Training at www.oconeeresa.org . Upon completion, candidates will be eligible to substitute teach in Baldwin, Hancock, Johnson, Putnam, Washington, and Wilkinson counties. Participants will need to contact the local school district where you wish to work and obtain an application for employment. You must confirm with the school district that they will accept Oconee RESA's training before you register to attend the class. Details regarding local requirements to be a substitute teacher are available at each county’s board of education.
Follow the steps provided below to register.
Step 1: Click Create a Profile and place a check in the box indicating you want to attend substitute teacher training
Step 2: Type your email address
Step 3: Select the class you want to register for and attend
Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the page and Pay Online
To obtain documentation you have attended a substitute teacher training class, log in with your username and password and print a copy of the certificate.
