We are working hard, as the lead organization, to inform advocates and elected officials of unemployment insurance reforms that benefit low wage, part-time and working women. While targeting policymakers and key stakeholders, WPEF�s multifaceted communications campaign involves research, public education forums, and coalition building to define the need for change. The Georgia Self-Sufficiency Standard
Women's Issues/Women's Voices
In 2008, Women's Policy Group, and a number of statewide coalition partners released the second Georgia Self-Sufficiency Standard. The Georgia Self-Sufficiency project was created to provide a modern definition of adequate income that responds to the variety of family types and geographic variances in the state of Georgia.
