Cattlemen's Tour Area cattlemen will have an opportunity to visit a relatively new facility, Agri-Science Opportunity, LLC, owned by well-known cattle veterinarian, Dr. Sam Galphin, on Tuesday, July 10. This facility is a joint venture between Kingsmill Farm and Dr. Galphin Services. It specializes in embryo transfer, semen collection and freezing and serves as a certified embryo center, as well as beginning with cheese manufacturing. Tour participants will be leaving the Franklin County Extension Center at 1 p.m. and touring the facility from 2 â?? 4 p.m. If you plan to attend, pre-register by July 6 by contacting Martha Mobley at (919) 496-3344 or martha_mobley@ncsu.edu. There is no cost to attend; however, dinner will be dutch treat on the return trip home. A county van will be available for a limited number, first-come, first-served.
