"Incubator Farm ONLINE Training Program "
This ongoing Farm Incubator Online Initial Training is for beginners interested in vegetable farming as a career choice. Students will build a foundation of knowledge that will allow them to pursue vegetable farming. This course is a prerequisite to participating in the Elma C. Lomax farm incubator program. Includes information on insurance, taxes, selecting farmland, marketing, and post harvest handling. Classes are online and pursued at the students leisure. There will be optional classroom sessions onsite at NC Cooperative Extension-Cabarrus County Center, 715 Cabarrus Avenue-West, Concord, NC 28027 that will allow a review of certain concepts, plus an opportunity to socialize with other students. Participation in this class does not guarantee space at the Incubator Farm, however no one will be considered for space that did not complete this series of classes. Cost: $50. Instructors: David J.
