According to D. Wane Rowland, Agricultural & Natural Resources Technician with the Cooperative Extension program at NC A&T State University, the week of March 24 - 29 has been proclaimed Small Farms Week in North Carolina. Small Farms Week is entitled, "It's a Growing Business--Innovations for the Next Generation". This week is a special time to honor small-scale agriculture across NC and to showcase the tremendous contributions to the economy and well being that small farmers make. The Cooperative Extension program at NC A&T State University has scheduled activities to honor small farmers this week. Registration deadline is March 17.
