COPS IN COURT

Two Sessions:

8:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Testifying on an OWI case can be a daunting experience, especially if it’s your first time.  This training aims to help officers prepare for court, whether it’s their first or 20th time.  Topics that will be covered in this half-day training include Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and how to educate a jury about them, how to handle common OWI defense challenges on the stand, and the do’s and don’ts of cross examination.

               Who Should Attend?

Police Officers. Limited to 8 officers per session*. Officers will need to forward one copy of their own OWI report to use during the mock trial portion of training.

*Prosecutors are welcome to attend the training. The sign-up is for officers only, please email Amy Gronowski at the email below if you are interested in attending.
