The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, Child
Abuse Training Services, in cooperation with the Prosecuting Attorneys
Coordinating Council, and the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS)
is pleased to present a cross-professional Specialized Investigative Child
Abuse Training on the topics of:
*Child Abuse & Neglect – the survivor’s stories
*Interviewing and Interrogation
This training will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m.; seminar
begins at 9:00 and will conclude by 4:30 p.m.
In the
morning session-
hear first-hand accounts from (now adult) siblings that endured a childhood of
horrific abuse at the hands of their stepfather and father. How did so many people miss the obvious signs
of neglect in this family and why?
In the afternoon session- attendees will gain knowledge on interviewing
& interrogating child abuse suspects/predators and see video of a
suspect/perpetrator interrogation.
This seminar is designed for prosecuting
attorneys, assistant prosecuting attorneys, CPS workers, and police officers
who are involved with child abuse investigations or prosecution.
There
is no charge for registration or materials for this seminar.
Attendees, or their agency, are responsible for overnight accommodations,
transportation, meals, and other incidental costs.
