Legislative Tracking

Tracking legislation differs for different types of lobbyist. For example:

• A state association may want to keep the membership apprised of the legislation being considered, and get feedback from the members. 
• A private lobbying firm has a list of clients, and they want to track a different portfolio of bills for each client, allowing the clients to see the bills they are following and comment on them. 
• State and local government organizations typically have different departments and they need a more collaborative environment where the departments can share their comments and see how legislation affects the different departments.

For each bill you track you assign it a tracking level, code the bill for the subject areas, topics and/or departments, and explain the projected impact. As your audience reviews the legislation, they can use a secure feedback form to convey their views and the impact it will have at a local level.
