With only eight days remaining in the session, the number of bills considered on this 32nd day was minimal.  No education bills were acted upon in the Senate and two passed the House:

• SB 319 adds computer hardware and technical equipment used to support nonprint or digital instructional content to the definition of "textbook."
• SB 341 requires that a person be a legal Georgia resident in order to be eligible for a HOPE GED voucher.

No education committees met this day.

Rumors continue to fly as to the delay in action on the FY 10 continuation and FY 11 budgets.  The legislative calendar for the remaining eight days will be determined by the pace of action on the budgets.  

The General Assembly will recess beginning Friday April 2 until Monday, April 12.
