Bio

Buck Newton is a country lawyer and served in the State Senate from 2011 to 2016. In 2010, Buck was in a group of conservative Republicans who flipped the NC Senate red for the first time in 140 years. In 2016, Buck was the Republican nominee for Attorney General.

In the State Senate, Buck chaired the Judiciary Committee and worked to strengthen North Carolina's criminal justice system and business climate. Buck's background in the law makes him the best candidate to fight back against the Biden administration, Roy Cooper, and the activist State Supreme Court.

In the State Senate, Buck will...

Oppose government overreach in all forms...from Biden, Cooper, and the courts Protect the unborn Fight for our 2nd Amendment rights Stand with law enforcement against radical attempts to defund the police Cut taxes on hard-working families and small businesses A native of Wilson, Newton graduated from Hunt High School before attending Appalachian State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Political Science. Since graduating from Campbell University School of Law, Newton has practiced law at his firm, Newton and Lee, for more than 20 years. He is an active member of First United Methodist Church and has served the community in a number of ways through their ministries. Buck and his wife, Hope, have three children.
