The Commonwealth’s Attorneys’ Services Council is offering a one-day Virginia Criminal Procedure course. This course is designed for new Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorneys but it also will serve as a refresher course for veteran prosecutors. Topics will include:

=         Virginia Court System

=         Search Warrants & Warrantless Searches

=         Electronic Interceptions

=         Confessions

=         Arrest

=         Bail

=         Double Jeopardy

=         Speedy Trial

=         Discovery & Exculpatory Evidence

=         Forfeitures

=         Other Provisions of Title 19.2 of the Code of Virginia

The program will be held at the Lynchburg Downtown Holiday Inn on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Lodging will be provided for the night of October 15th for those traveling more than 25 miles.
