Event Description

The Southern Convenience Store and Petroleum Show is targeted to reach key individuals in the convenience store and petroleum industry from throughout the South. Attendees will include board members and key representatives from the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores  and will be open to retailers from throughout the southern U.S.

This year’s retailer seminars will concentrate on hiring the best C-Store employees (Wednesday’s Seminar) and once hired, how to get the most value from their work (Thursday Seminar). Linda McKenna, from GACS Associate Member company Convenience Store Coaches, will be our presenter this year for both programs

You will learn:

  • The top five interviewing mistakes made in the C-Store industry.
  • Four types of interview questions and which one is most effective? Are you using it?
  • How to tell when someone is lying.
  • Application Red Flags to look for.
  • Central Hiring—good or bad?
  • The difference between employee engagement and employee satisfaction and how each impacts the bottom line.
  • Eight ways to create a high performance team that drives business results.
  • The most neglected management practice that employees need and want.
  • The number one reason for poor employee performance and what actions to take to improve performance.

ADMISSION IS LIMITED TO THOSE 16 YEARS OLD AND OVER. DUE TO INSURANCE REGULATIONS, STROLLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED. If you have any questions about this event, please contact GACS at 770-736-9723.
