The objective of this continuing education course is to gain a greater understanding of the current trends of the high school band movement within the United States. The band movement in the United States has enjoyed a long and fruitful array of academic productivity. Through an understanding of band history in the United States we have discovered the very roots of those concepts which instrumental music was developed and the academic efficiency it has maintained for a number of years.
