The Winter Conference is a 3-day event and is scheduled to be held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Hotel in Cambridge, MD (Dorchester County) through 2019. It draws over 400 county and state elected and appointed officials.

The upcoming Winter Conference will be held Wednesday, December 9, through Friday, December 11, 2015. The theme is "Mission: Public Safety" and will focus on policing in the modern age and how new technology can enhance communications, coordinated response, and public relations during response to routine emergencies and regional catastrophes.

Session topics will focus on reviewing timely issues that will be relevant during the upcoming Maryland General Assembly Session. Like the Summer Conference, there are many regional county meetings, state agency briefings, and MACo committee meetings; credit courses are offered for the Academy of Excellence in Local Governance. 40 table-top exhibits are on display throughout the conference.
