Course Description

Designed for prosecutors (state and local, city, tribal and /or military) with 0 – 3 years of experience, faculty will teach trial basics you didn’t learn in law school. Discussions will include effective witness interviewing skills, creating and admitting digital evidence, planning for the difficult or recanting witness, drafting motions and writing persuasive responses to defense motions, and a Brady and Giglio primer. Faculty will lead workshops on opening statement, cross examination and closing argument techniques. This course will provide attendees an opportunity to “practice what we preach” and leave the training with time tested techniques in their tool kits!
