CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This training is open to both new and experienced prosecutor-based victim advocates, prosecutors, judges, probation & parole officers, as well as circuit, district and juvenile court employees. It is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge about crime victim restitution so you can build a coordinated response to restitution in your community.
Topics will include:
- The responsibilities of parties in the criminal justice system
- Gathering restitution data from victims
- What losses can be compensated
- Calculating full restitution
- Entering restitution orders
- The proper role of restitution hearings
- Enforcing restitution orders during probation and after probation ends

There is a nominal fee for all others.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS
Overnight rooms are available at no charge for Prosecutors, Assistant Prosecutors and Prosecutor-based Victim Advocates, providing you are more than 50 miles away from the venue. You MUST request your room on the registration form.
Although there is no charge for prosecutors and prosecutor-based advocates to attend, if you need to cancel, please do so in writing BEFORE June 12. If you fail to cancel in writing by the deadline, you or your agency will be invoiced for the charges incurred by PAAM.
