PAAM's Violence Against Women Project together with Michigan State Police bring this informal webinar training to Michigan’s law enforcement officers and prosecutors to hear from Brian Schloff. With better testing sensitivity and the increase in “touch” DNA submissions across the country, DNA mixtures are more commonly reported than ever. Improvement in the methods of
mixture interpretation have been developed which have changed the way that DNA
mixtures are reported. This webinar will
help the field investigator better understand the reasons for DNA mixture
interpretation software and how to read these reports.
Brian Schloff is the Lab Manager of teh Biology Unit of the MSP Northville Forensic Laboratory. In his eight years with the Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division, Mr. Schloff has spent five years as a case working Forensic Scientist in a DNA lab gaining valuable experience in mixture interpretations. Brian has given training on DNA analysis to a number of diverse groups. He has interpreted thousands of DNA mixtures and provided expert DNA testimony more than fifty times.
