Two Sessions are available: May 18, at the Radisson, Detroit Farmington Hills, and May 18, at Boyne Mountain Resort. You are registering for May 18, at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls.

Training hours: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

In the first half of this training, Attorney Keith Clark and Detective James Isaacs will examine identity theft, exploitation of children, and other cyber crimes. They will discuss how cyber crime links to domestic abuse, elder abuse, bullying, human trafficking and stalking. They will also discuss basic skills you can use to protect yourselves online.

In the second half of this training, the presenters will take a look at a case study examining how offenders who abuse children may communicate.

On March 30th, 2007 a mother brought her 7 year old daughter to a hotel for the purpose of creating child sexually abusive material and was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest was the culmination of an investigation that began in November 2005. This case study will demonstrate how following up on investigative leads can lead to protecting children and other victims.
