Jury Selection: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Bavarian Inn Lodge -- Altmuehl Room  1 Covered Bridge Lane, Frankenmuth, Michigan 48734 July 23, 2018   Training from 8:00am - 5:00pm   Join the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project for the free, full-day, experiential training Jury Selection: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Jury selection is your first opportunity to connect with the jury, begin to lay the foundations for the arguments you will make in closings, and preview any issues you have in your trial. An effective voir dire can establish the tone of your entire trial. Voir dire in intimate partner trials including domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking have a unique set of issues that are not present in every case. This full 8 hour training will give participants the basics of picking a jury and will require full participation in picking a jury. You don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity.    We are providing an overnight at the Bavarian Inn for the night of July 22; please indicate on your form whether or not you would like one.
