Pleasasnt, MI 48858 January 23, 2019   Training from 8:00am - 5:00pm   Join the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project for the free, full-day, experiential training Jury Selection: Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Jury selection is your first opportunity to connect with the jury, begin to lay the foundations for the arguments you will make in closings, and preview any issues you have in your trial. An effective voir dire can establish the tone of your entire trial. Voir dire in intimate partner trials including domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking have a unique set of issues that are not present in every case. This full 8 hour training will give participants the basics of picking a jury and will require full participation in picking a jury. This training is for prosecutors and assistant prosecutors only. You don’t want to miss this exciting opportunity.
