Training Description:
The Prosecuting Attorneys Coordinating Council (PACC), in cooperation with the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan (PAAM), is pleased to present the 2019 Basic Training scheduled for May 13-16, 2019 at the Crowne Plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This four-day training is intended for assistant prosecutors with less than one year of experience and PAAM summer interns. Individual topics will be covered the first two days of training. Attendees will participate in an interactive mock trial the last two days.
Attendees will be required to invest some time prior to the training, to prepare brief opening or closing statements and examination questions for prosecution and defense witnesses.
Plan to arrive for REGISTRATION from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m. Lunch is not provided on the first day of training.
Who Should Attend?
PAAM summer interns and assistant prosecutors new to the job with less than one year of experience.
Registration Cost:
The registration fee for this event is $80. (Interns have been prepaid by host prosecutors' offices.) In conjunction with the PACC training budget, this fee helps cover lodging, handouts, breaks, and meals. PACC cannot pay for lodging for attendees whose office or home (whichever is closer) is less than 50 miles from Grand Rapids. Please select your registration option accordingly.
Hotel Accommodations:
PACC will make attendee lodging reservations. Upon check-in, attendees may be asked to present a credit card to cover incidental charges.
