Training Description:
Building a Domestic Violence Prosecution is a new one day training designed to help prosecutors navigate their often complex domestic violence cases. Participants will be given a short domestic violence police report and will determine what other information they want and need to build their case. Presentations will be given regarding: charging domestic violence cases, recognizing and addressing victim behavior and batterer tactics, what evidence is available for collection, and learning how to put together a successful domestic violence prosecution, even without victim participation.
Who Should Attend?
This training is open to any practicing prosecutor. This training is geared toward prosecutors new to domestic violence prosecutions or looking to expand their knowledge on domestic violence.
