Topic: Micro Corroboration of Sexual Assault Cases Part 2
August 30, 2019 at 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Online Webinar - GoToWebinar

This is a continuation of the August 9 webinar. Tired of the frustration over reviewing a Sexual Assault case or warrant, and uttering these words: “But there’s no evidence!”

Wondering how you can corroborate a Sexual Assault with no witnesses, and tie together your victim’s story, when you seemingly have no other evidence on which to go forward?

Please join Danielle Russo Bennetts, Violence Against Women Project Director, and Anne Kanitra, Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Investigator, for our lunchtime webinar, Micro Corroboration in CSC Cases. We will be discussing various ways to build up your case, to work with your Officer In Charge to investigate new avenues of potential evidence, and to back up your victim on the stand. We will chat about ways to think outside the box to build your case, and we will discuss how efforts to corroborate your victim in the smallest of ways can sometimes have the biggest impact.

Additional Registration Information. This webinar will be hosted on the platform GoToWebinar. Closer to the training, you will receive an email from GoToWebinar detailing how to join the webinar on August 30. Sometimes email servers block messages from this platform, so if by the morning of August 30 you have not received an email, please email Meghan. Any questions about this process can be directed to Meghan Faught at faughtm@michigan.gov.
