Visual Trial School-2020
Marriot Auburn Hills Pontiac Campus
Thursday, March 5th
&
Friday, March, 6th, 2020
Please join us in Pontiac for our next Visual Trial School. This two day course will focus on using PowerPoint and other technology effectively in preparation for trial and in the courtroom. A draft agenda will be listed in the confirmation email.
This
course will feature lectures and materials covering litigation technology
strategies, best practices, advocacy/persuasion, screen capture, video
redaction, the visual trial, Using Technology in Vehicular Homicide Cases
and ethics. We will have two lab groups (Beginner and Intermediate) for our guided
lab sessions.
Special
Agent Christopher Hess of the Federal Bureau of Investigation will join us for
a presentation on Historical
Cell Phone Geolocation Analysis.
We
will demonstrate how to use Sanction litigation software, screen capture
software, video redaction software (Camtasia), and audio redaction
software (Audacity) in court or in preparation for trial. Sanction litigation software is a
non-linear litigation software tool used by the Department of Justice, the International
Criminal Tribunal, the Judge Advocate General, and state prosecutors nationwide
to organize and present complicated cases to a jury.
Please make sure you have all the
necessary software installed on your laptop before the course.
