The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan, Child Abuse Training Services (CATS) Program, in cooperation with the Prosecuting Attorneys Coordinating Council, and the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS), is pleased to present a Specialized Child Abuse Training seminar on the topic of the Basics of Forensic Interviewing. This training will begin with registration at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13 and conclude by 5:00p.m.on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
This seminar is intended for foster care workers, victim advocates, adoption workers, private agency child welfare staff, and other child abuse professionals. The course is designed for individuals who need to know the basics of forensic interviewing and how not to compromise a forensic interview. This seminar is also for individuals who may not do interviews on a regular basis.
Registration is limited to 20 people. Registering by the cut-off date does not guarantee attendance.
Attendees (or their agencies) are responsible for payment for overnight accommodations, transportation, meals, and other incidental costs. Limited food will be provided
NOTE: This is for individuals that need to know the basic information of a forensic interview - not to be able to do a forensic interview.
