TRAINING

The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan's Elder Justice Project, in conjunction with the Subcommittee for the Training of Officers and Prosecutors of the Elder Abuse Task Force, are excited to present a one-day seminar focused on the investigation and prosecution of vulnerable adult financial exploitation offenses. This event is designed for prosecutors and law enforcement officers. We will focus in on the key aspects of handling these cases, from the first contact with the complaining witness through the collection of evidence, charging, trial, and sentencing. The course is based upon the recently released training manual, which is available for download on Mi-Train, as well as the PAAM Elder Justice Project website.

MATERIALS

Agenda and course materials, if necessary, will be provided at the training. You are not required to bring anything with you. You are welcome to bring a pen and notepad if you would like to take notes.
