Child Abuse Training for Prosecutors
The Pennsylvania District Attorneys Institute is pleased to offer its Child Abuse Training for Prosecutors course. A faculty of experienced prosecutors and nationally renown medical experts will provide comprehensive training on issues surrounding the prosecution of physical and sexual abuse of children. The instructors will stress a collaborative and integrated approach among investigators, prosecutors and medical professionals in the investigation and presentation of these difficult cases. Topics will include common defenses and myths in both physical and sexual abuse cases, abusive head trauma and neglect, the investigation and prosecution of institutional cases, and investigative and trial strategies.
Registration
Registration closes on March 22, 2019. Registration for this conference is restricted to prosecutors currently employed in Pennsylvania by a county district attorney’s office or the Office of Attorney General. The PDAI reserves the right to decline registrants who do not meet the criteria. Attendance is limited to 50 prosecutors. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Cancellations
Cancellations received on or before April 12, 2019 will be refunded the full registration fee. No refunds can be issued for cancellations received after April 12, 2019; however, substitutions are permissible. You must also call the hotel directly at 1-800-233-7505 to cancel your room reservation.
Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Hyatt Place at the rate of $102.00 per night, single or double occupancy plus state and local taxes. The room rate is a separate charge paid directly to the Hyatt Place. It is not included in the registration fee.
