Government Operations 

Whether you are new to municipal government or just looking for a refresher of the operations of Local Government, this session will be for you. We discuss the meaning of “Home Rule”; the difference between a Town and a First Class City; different forms of Government and Council’s statutory and practical roles and responsibilities. We will also focus on how to conduct a meeting; understanding of the Wyoming Open Meeting and Public Records Law; governmental liability and basics of municipal elections. By attending this workshop you will earn credits towards your Local Government Leadership Program with WAM.

Effective Supervisory Practices

Are you looking to become a more effective supervisor by obtaining better results through teamwork? This is the session for you! When you leave this training you will have a better understanding on how to lead your work team through good work planning methods; organizing productivity; selecting, orienting and training employees; evaluating performance and communicating with your employees.  We will also focus on  coaching, counseling and mentoring; creating a climate for motivation; developing and maintaining discipling; workplace safety and wellness; and working with the budget.  By attending this workshop you will earn credits towards your Local Government Leadership Program with WAM.
