Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation requires schools to enter into a recreational joint-use agreement whenever they allow their facilities to be used by the county or a private or public entity for recreation. The recreational joint-use agreement must include the terms and conditions of the use of the school property, include a provision to hold the school harmless, allow the school to terminate at any time, and require the county (or other party using the property) to maintain and provide proof of liability insurance coverage of at least $1 million.  Please let ACCG know of any concerns you may have with this bill.
