Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation requires the regulation of retail sales of marijuana by the Department of Revenue (DOR). Nothing in this legislation preempts or impairs the power of a local government to enact ordinances, resolutions or regulations governing retail establishments that sell marijuana. The bill does require that jurisdictions have ordinances, resolutions or regulations that are at least as restrictive as the state licensing and regulatory body (DOR) |
