01.18.2017 The Senate Transportation Committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment requires SC Department of Public Safety to collect and report to the Senate Transportation Committee statistics on moped riders and use. The amendment also exempts vehicles over 750 watts from the provisions of this bill.
01.17.2017 A Senate Transportation subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report as amended. The amendment conforms the bill to S689 from 2016 that required beginners’ permits for moped riders and the final version of the insurance requirement in the moped bill passed in S689.
