Summary: DMV
    A BILL TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 56-2-2750 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES SHALL IMPLEMENT A PROCEDURE WHEREBY IT COLLECTS MOTOR VEHICLE PROPERTY TAXES OWED TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS AT THE SAME TIME A PERSON REGISTERS A VEHICLE, TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT SHALL REMIT THE FUNDS COLLECTED TO THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE DEPARTMENT MAY COLLECT A FEE FOR PROVIDING THIS SERVICE.
