Summary: Law Enforcement Training Council and Criminal Justice Academy
    A BILL TO AMEND CHAPTER 23, TITLE 23 OF THE 1976 CODE, RELATING TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING COUNCIL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE ACADEMY, BY ADDING SECTION 23-23-45, TO PROVIDE FOR A MODEL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR NEWLY APPOINTED CHIEFS OF POLICE, REVISIONS TO THE PROGRAM, AND THE TIME PERIOD TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM, AND TO PROVIDE THAT THE TRAINING PROGRAM DOES NOT APPLY TO DULY ELECTED SHERIFFS.
