03.19.2014 The Senate Transportation committee gave this bill a favorable report as amended by the subcommittee. The full committee added one amendment that allows for a temporary permit to operate the golf cart within two miles of a special event location for three hours before and after  that special event.
03.12.2014 The Senate Transportation Golf Cart Permit subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report with amendments. The amendments remove the night time operation and allow cart operators  to operate the golf cart within four miles of the registration holders permanent or temporary address.
04.10.2013 The House Education and Public Works Transportation subcommittee gave this bill a favorable report with amendments. The amendments allow for the operation of a golf cart at night if it has head and tail lights. The driver also must have a permit and allows political subdivisions to prohibit the use of golf carts.
Summary of the bill as introduced: Provides for the issuance of golf cart permits and the regulation of the operation of golf carts.
