Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation expands the right to have a service animal (not just a service dog) to individuals with physical or mental impairments, rather than just to the blind and deaf. This bill will also allow the Department of Human Services to issue to eligible individuals a card explaining the rights of the individual and documenting the are in need of the service animal. |
