Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This legislation creates the Georgia 2020 Election Transition Commission to study the feasibility, practicality and desirability of acquiring new voting systems for use in Georgia's elections. The Commission will consist of six House members, six members of the Senate, two local elections officials (as non-voting members), the chairperson of the Georgia Republican Party and Georgia Democratic Party (both non-voting). The bill also extends the day for the certification of an election to the Wednesday of the week following the day of the election. |
