Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill would exempt from state and local sales taxes the purchase of equipment used in telecommunications services, including broadband, cable, and other video programming services. Such sales taxes would first be paid, with teh purchaser then seeking a refund via the Department of Revenue. The exemption would be capped at $100 million per year. |
