Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill increases, from 5 to 20 percent, the amount of net receipts the Georgia Lottery collects off of coin operated amusement machines; reduces from 47.5 percent to 40 percent of receipts going to the location operator; and reduces from 47.5 percent to 40 percent of receipts going to the operator.  It then authorizes local governments to prohibit more than three of these machines at a single business location (currently, locals can cap a location at six machines).
