Staff Analysis of the Legislation

This bill requires any organizations that "administer or conduct" high risk youth athletic activities, for kids age 14 and under, on county property to require all unpaid or volunteer coaches and athletics personnel to complete an online or residence course that provides information on measures to reduce the likelihood that youth athletes will sustain serious injuries.  High risk activities include the sports of football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, ice or field hockey, cheer leading, rugby, wrestling and lacrosse.
