Staff Analysis of the Legislation

SR 460 creates the Senate Minor Traffic Offense Study Committee to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of treating minor traffic offenses as civil infractions. The committee shall consist of five members appointed by the President of the Senate and a chairperson designated by the President. The chairperson shall call all meetings of the committee. The chairperson shall file a report of the investigation to the date of abolishment. The committee shall stand abolished on December 1, 2016.
