HB 1057 amends Chapter 12 of Title 2 of the OCGA to provide for various
regulations regarding fertilizers and soil amendments. The bill adds domestic septage
to the list of substances considered to be fertilizer adulterators. Anyone
found to have distributed or applied fertilizer containing domestic septage
would be guilty of a misdemeanor on the first violation. Any subsequent
violations would be considered misdemeanors of a high and aggravated nature. These
offenses would also carry civil penalties of no more than $25,000 for the first
offense and $50,000 for all subsequent offenses. |
