Staff Analysis of the Legislation

Amend Part 5 of Article 9 of Chapter 2 of Title 21.  Require all electronic voting systems to produce a permanent paper record of the ballots cast for each voter and to provide that voters have an opportunity to verify the paper record after voting.  Such paper records will be retained for use in recounts and election challenge proceedings.
