This bill provides for penalties for making a false statement, committing false swearing, or aiding or abetting another to do so. Making, or aiding or abetting another to make, false statements is punishable by a fine of not more than $5,000 or by imprisonment of not less than one nor more than five years or both. This bill also requires an owner of a vehicle, unless exempt, to present a valid Georgia driver’s license or identification card when registering or renewing the registration of a vehicle. |
