Amend 19-8-16.  Relating to investigation by a child placing agency or other agent: the court shall require the petitioner submit to a criminal history records check.  The petitioner shall submit fingerprints to GCIC with a fee.  The center shall transmit the prints to the FBI for a search of records and shall obtain an appropriate report.  GCIC shall also conduct a search of its records.  The center shall notify the court in writing of the presence or absence of any derogatory finding, including, but not limited to any conviction data.
