HB 873 amends 47-2-266.  This bill would authorize certain members to receive up to four years of creditable service for past service as a full time law assistant for a judicial circuit.  Members wishing to purchase such service would be required to pay the employer and employee contributions which would have been paid if he or she had been a member of the ERS at that time, together with regular interest. They would be required to make the payment by July 1, 2009.
