HB 997, also known as the Witness Identification Accuracy Enhancement Act, requires that prior to July 1, 2008, the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council shall establish guidelines and procedures for conducting show-ups, photographic lineups, and physical lineups. It also requires the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council develop a comprehensive in-service training program for providing instruction on such procedures.
