HB 398 dissolves the municipal court of the City of Monticello. All matters pending in the municipal court of the City of Monticello, on July 1, 2015, which are within the jurisdiction of the Probate Court of Jasper County in the absence of a municipal court, will be granted to the Probate Court of Jasper County. All matters pending in the municipal court of the City of Monticello, on July 1, 2015, which are not within the jurisdiction of the Probate Court of Jasper County in the absence of a municipal court, will be granted to the Magistrate Court of Jasper County. On and after July 1, 2015, all fines, fees, and forfeitures collected in the cases transferred to either the Probate Court of Jasper County or the Magistrate Court of Jasper County shall be paid to the respective court and remitted to Jasper County. |
